Ed Video at Art-Athina 2016 – Faliro Pavilion – Athens, Greece – May 26-29, 2016
Ed Video returns for the third time to the Art-Athina art fair in Athens, Greece. This year, Ed Video presents all video by young artists from Canada, USA, and Colombia. Displayed on flatscreens, these videos redefine how we think about time and space, at once shrinking and expanding our perception of the world and our reality. Presented together, the work suggests that time and space are flexible concepts without much influence on how people can relate to each other and with progressive ideas.
Launched in 1993 by the Hellenic Art Galleries Association, Art-Athina stands today as one of the longest lasting contemporary art fairs in Europe and as the largest annual visual arts event in Greece. A meeting point for international artistic creation, Art-Athina brings together significant Greek and international art galleries, cultural institutions, curators, collectors, art critics and art lovers. Ed Video is excited to showcase a selection of recent media art to a large, international audience of over 40,000 people. The Art-Athina Platform Section is curated by Artemis Potamianou, and Ed Video’s booth is curated by Scott McGovern.
Ed Video wishes to thank the Canada Council for the Arts for ongoing support of international programming initiatives.
