Presented by Ed Video at Renann Isaacs Contemporary Art / 31 Quebec Street, Guelph
December 30, 2015 – January 24, 2016 viewable 24 hours a day from the sidewalk
Ed Video and Renann Isaacs are proud to present the latest 3D animation by Luke Painter, The Teasers and the Tormentors. Presented in the window on 20 Christie Digital MicroTiles with the gallery illuminated with colourful, moving lights, the exhibition references 20th Century theatrical stage design. Mirrors appear to swivel and reveal new forms of modernist, avant-garde sets and props, essentially suggesting that the empty gallery is an ever-changing stage. The Teasers and the Tormentors was created during a residency at the Banff Centre for the Arts during the summer of 2015.
